Check us out on LinkedIn: Medtronic Pelvic Health As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work with a team of Engineers and Technicians to develop and bring new products to the market. The focus of this role will be to design and test both patient care instrumentation and implantable medical devices that comprise therapy systems supporting our Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health operating units. You will have responsibility to innovate, apply technical expertise, and provide technical insight to project and program teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a technical related discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or a PHD

  • BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Medical Device experience
  • Experience with Design for Six Sigma
  • Experience with verification and validation of class III medical devices
  • Experience developing automated test benches utilizing python scripts
  • Experience designing analog and digital circuitry on custom PCBs
  • Experience validating test scripts, methods and systems
  • Experience in firmware hardware integration cycles
  • Experience with Altium or OrCAD schematic capture and PCB layout tools
  • Experience with circuit simulation tools such as PSPICE
  • Experience with modeling tools such as MATLAB
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Minitab

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical engineering skills to characterize and verify new product designs including analog, digital, and embedded systems for medical devices
  • Provide electrical and radiofrequency (RF) engineering skills to design, develop, characterize, and verify new product telemetry designs
  • Work closely with other design teams (Electrical, Systems, Firmware and IC Design) to root cause design issues, create test suites, characterize, and ultimately verify electrical designs
  • Develop and validate test environments comprising custom equipment, software, and test methods
  • Develop test methods and interface with certified test houses to verify/certify to global regulatory standards including ISO 14708-3, ISO/TS 10974, IEC 60601, EN45502, FCC, ETSI, EMI/EMC, etc.
  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Ensure understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable.
  • Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.
  • Ability to work with others internationally and travel globally
