About The Position

The Senior Electrical Engineer serves as the site technical authority for electrical infrastructure and power distribution systems, including substations, transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), generators, and associated electrical assets. The position develops and maintains a multi-year electrical infrastructure roadmap, covering asset lifecycle planning, equipment modernization, critical spare parts strategy, and future capital needs. It is also the primary site interface with Corporate Engineering for electrical projects, providing technical review to ensure solutions meet site standards, operational needs, maintainability, safety requirements, and long-term infrastructure objectives. The role provides technical guidance to engineering, maintenance, operations, contractors, and project teams; oversees electrical studies and design reviews; supports capital projects and infrastructure modernization; maintains engineering standards and documentation; and contributes to electrical safety, system performance, and asset reliability. The position also provides technical support for complex electrical issues, major equipment failures, outages, commissioning, and startup activities, while mentoring engineers and technical personnel. The role is based in Baltimore, Maryland. Physical conditions include light to heavy effort, varying noise, work at heights and in confined spaces, extended periods of standing and walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and work in indoor and outdoor conditions including heat, humidity, cold, wet, and dusty environments. Required personal protective equipment must be worn. Rotating shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends may be assigned or required; overtime is required daily and weekly as scheduled.
