About The Position

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at FBD, you'll be part of a team focused on sustaining and refining electro-mechanical systems, Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs), refrigeration control systems, sensors for fluid flow control, and video screen merchandisers throughout the entire life cycle of FBD’s Frozen Beverage Dispensers currently in the market. You will also have the opportunity to lead specific projects and collaborate closely with other engineers, sharing your knowledge and contributing to the team's collective growth. Testing and software development will be integral to your role, providing opportunities to apply your skills in a tangible, impactful way.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of directly related professional experience.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to travel as business needs dictate (up to 5%).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must have excellent communication skills because of daily contact with managers and candidates.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and a reference check.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Python.
• Ability to rapidly prototype using development boards (i.e. Raspberry Pi).
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Redesign, improve, and sustain state-of-the-art Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and electrical systems which includes Schematic Design, Board Layout, Prototyping, Testing, and Integration.
• Lead projects, review designs, and mentor junior engineers.
• Work on a variety of challenges, including analog and digital circuit design, AC and DC circuit design, and conducting hardware testing and analysis.
• Collaborate with different departments, providing a broader perspective of the business, and enhancing interpersonal and communication skills.
• Engage in continuous learning and skill development through responsibilities spanning product redesign, sustaining engineering, and improvement projects.
• Investigate and resolve field problems related to various product lines, directly contributing to the sustainment and improvement of company products.
• Work with a range of technologies and systems, from control systems to sensors and video interfaces, fostering innovation.
• Interact with vendors, support manufacturing and quality departments, and participate in cross-functional teams.
