POSITION SUMMARY: Performs engineering work in applied research, design, development, and documentation on multiple key projects. Uses research techniques to analyze and validate design or theory concepts. Interacts with senior level professionals both internal and external to AE.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of operational amplifiers
  • Familiarity with power supplies
  • Knowledge of analog circuit design
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgement in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions
  • Proven professional skills as an experienced electrical engineer with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies/procedures
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with general instructions on new assignments
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good interpersonal skills to work as part of a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with others in complex situations
  • Minimum of five years of experience as an electrical engineer
  • Experience identifying and selecting safety-critical components related to engineering change order activities
  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering is required

Nice To Haves

  • Firmware experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Designs and analyzes AC-DC and DC-DC high voltage module products and subsystems/circuits primarily up to 60kV and 500W to specification, cost, budget, schedule, and quality goals
  • Diagnoses issues of diverse scope with design, field performance, reliability and test yields of products and recommends and implements corrective actions to address
  • Assumes responsibility for the success of the product in customers’ applications and recommends corrective actions as needed
  • Follows key engineering procedures including the Product Development Process and ECO process
