About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a motivated 3rd shift Senior Electrical Engineer to fill a key Maintenance, Repair and Engineering support role within the Metrology & Test Equipment Maintenance (MTEM) Department, located in Andover MA. The role requires root-cause fault isolation and repair of complex test stations across RF, digital, and AC/DC power platforms. Candidate must be able to effectively operate in a high tempo operations environment and capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing complex activities, often with actions requiring coordination across multiple support areas. This is a 3rd Shift position which includes a 12% shift premium.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of test equipment design or troubleshoot experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong electrical background with experience in debugging of analog, digital, and mixed-signal test equipment and custom test assemblies.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators).
  • Knowledge of analog electronics, AC/DC power platforms, and control systems.
  • Experience developing, editing, and improving preventative maintenance, and calibration procedures, using intuitive techniques and methodologies
  • Experience with CORE principles, or similar continuous improvement methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Perform system-level debugging on test fixtures and automated test stations using best practices.
  • Trace hardware faults down to the component level across RF, digital, and AC/DC platforms.
  • Ensure test station uptime on the manufacturing floor.
  • Maintain fault logs and generate repair documentation to minimize future troubleshoot efforts improving station uptime.
  • Coach and influence technicians regarding troubleshooting best practices and techniques.
  • Interpret schematic drawings in aiding with troubleshoot of test stations and equipment.
  • Design of moderate improvements of systems and test equipment to enhance performance of work area and improve production up time.
