About The Position

Raytheon’s Land & Shipboard Effector Guidance Systems Department is responsible for the delivery of affordable and innovative electrical products. Accountable for program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle. Providing resources to drive development and sustainment activities of our Land and Naval based electrical products. This role functions as an Obsolescence Hardware Team Lead on a missile production program, providing technical oversight and mentorship to a staff of up to 3 Engineers. The focus is on engineering task execution, technical rigor, mentorship, and training. The role involves coordinating with Tech Leads and PMs for cross-team collaboration and priority alignment, and collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues during production, testing, and integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ prior relevant experience
  • Production engineering experience relating to design, analysis, fabrication, or troubleshooting of missile hardware
  • Familiarity with obsolescence mitigation process and activities
  • Experience with systematic problem solving and RCCA
  • Familiarity with RF, analog, digital, and / or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and / or digital signal processing
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • MS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or Equivalent.
  • Production process knowledge, manufacturing techniques, system integration, production testing.
  • Experience with Software/Firmware languages; Python, C, Basis, Java, VHDL, Verilog.
  • Demonstrated effective organization, emotional intelligence, personal task and time management skills, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter who can work independently.
  • Systems thinking, strong problem solving in alignment with the Office of the Chief Engineer.
  • Experience with subsystems integration and test, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods, production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentations, and implementing Engineering Change processes.
  • Leadership of technical teams, including technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support.
  • Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle.
