About The Position

The Sr. Electrical/Electronic Engineer joins Seagate’s Equipment Development Engineering team at its Shakopee, Minnesota design center. The team collaborates with Seagate sites in the U.S. and internationally to develop advanced, cost-effective component test equipment for drive factories, and has designed electronics for testing drive components for more than 25 years. The role develops, qualifies, and releases complex electronic hardware for disc drive head and media electrical test systems. It involves hands-on circuit design, evaluation, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis at component, printed circuit assembly, and system levels. The engineer supports PCB design and development, works with PCB and PCBA vendors, assists with FPGA development and debugging, and prepares technical reports and engineering documentation. The role also collaborates with engineers and technicians across Seagate on technical issues and equipment development.
