About The Position

The EHS Professional is responsible for managing and continuously improving environmental, health, and safety compliance programs at Indivior’s manufacturing site. This role ensures adherence to all applicable local, state, federal, corporate, and legal requirements to protect employee health and safety, safeguard the environment, and minimize operational risk. The EHS Professional fosters a proactive safety culture through outreach, messaging, committee leadership, and direct engagement with the Senior Management Team. This position also oversees regulatory programs, waste management, industrial hygiene, and site-wide risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum eight (8) years of EHS experience in a pharmaceutical or industrial manufacturing setting required
  • Detailed knowledge of and experience interpreting local, state, federal, and corporate regulatory requirements
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with team members
  • Teamwork, leadership, and influencing skills with a strong focus on customer service
  • Ability to offer innovative and creative solutions to EHS challenges
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under time-sensitive conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of site EHS programs and Accident/Incident Prevention Plans
  • Ensure facility compliance with required EHS elements and identify opportunities for safety improvements
  • Collaborate with the Site Leadership Team to develop and implement control mechanisms for risk reduction
  • Oversee hazardous, non-hazardous, and biohazardous waste processing, including rejected drug vials, used chemical containers, expired chemicals, and pharmaceutical-contaminated waste
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, transportation, labeling, documentation, inventory, and manifesting of all waste shipped offsite
  • Manage environmental programs including Indirect Discharge Permit monitoring, SPCC Plan, stormwater permitting, air permitting, and refrigerant management
  • Administer OSHA recordkeeping, incident reporting, industrial safety programs, ergonomics, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, bloodborne pathogens, and PPE programs
  • Develop and maintain the Industrial Hygiene program; assess exposure to physical and chemical hazards
  • Interpret and report IH monitoring results to employees and management; prepare reports and recommendations for improvement or risk minimization
  • Other duties as assigned
