About The Position

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Sr DSP Algorithms Engineer. Position type: Full-time, Contract Duration: 12 Months with possible extension Location: El Segundo, CA-Onsite. As a Sr DSP Algorithms Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing next generation RF and digital satellite communication systems. This includes developing and verifying multi-rate, fixed-point signal processing algorithms, conducting performance analysis of signal processing models, performing waveform development and characterization, and conducting trade studies. You will also support integration and test of payloads and spacecraft from unit level through in-orbit operations, support HDL-level design and verification, and perform detailed system design and verification activities. Additionally, you will lead teams and lead IR&D activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Recent 5 years of experience in Digital signal processing (DSP) / Digital Communications algorithms and techniques (equalization, turbo/viterbi coding/decoding, channel estimation, filter design, resampling theory, etc.).
• Recent 3+ years of experience with Matlab or Simulink.
• Recent 5+ years of experience in core digital communications and signal processing theory.
• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering (MBSE/DOORS, requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design).
• 1+ years of experience working with FPGAs or ASICs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, waveform generator, spectrum analyzer).
• Experience leading teams of engineers.
