We are currently seeking a Sr. Responder to work in our New York, NY location. Shift is Overnights: Sunday through Thursday, 10 pm - 6 am. MUST have valid Driver's License and be comfortable driving a large van. Prefer someone residing in one of the 5 Boroughs.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities.
  • Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Maintain confidentiality and work with integrity and ethics.
  • Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Must pass a preliminary evaluation requirement following a probationary training period.
  • Will involve travel in the field.
  • Current valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to disaster-related incidents and provide services to clients.
  • Implement and coordinate the day-to-day functions that support program or service operations.
  • Develop workable program or service implementation plans.
  • Support leadership in coordinating casework activities.
  • Respond to general inquiries.
  • Participate on small scale projects which require researching issues, information, data collection, and development of recommendations.
  • Support leadership in coordinating educational and outreach programs.
  • Participate in recruitment, orientation and training activities for volunteers.
  • Independently resolve minor problems and issues which may impact program or service delivery or outcomes.
