As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions that enable the development of cutting-edge technology. Qualcomm Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 9+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
  • 15+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • 15+ years of 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards (e.g., 3GPP NR, LTE, LTE, 3G).
  • 4+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above).
  • 2+ years of working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

Responsibilities

  • Leverages expert Systems knowledge and experience to implement and oversee the research, design, development, simulation, and/or validation of systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions while ensuring system-level requirements and standards are met.
  • Oversees the functional analysis that drives requirements and specifications and defines and aligns with standards for hardware and software.
  • Leads multiple teams in the analysis and development of system level design including requirements, interface definition, functional/performance definition, and implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
  • Collaborates with high-level representatives from other functions internally (e.g., testing group, product group, customers) and externally to develop and execute system design.
  • Creates overarching system strategy in order to direct work for multiple project teams; translates strategy into a strong execution plan.
  • Develops and implements standards for the triage of problems at the system level; presents results of testing and debugging to internal and external stakeholders.
