We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Supply Chain to lead procurement and supply chain operations within the power generation sector. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement processes in power plants, expertise in construction methodologies related to utility substations, and strong knowledge of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in vendor negotiation and onboarding, ensuring efficient and cost-effective supply chain management.

Requirements

  • Extensive procurement experience in power plants and power generation environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies in utility substations.
  • Proven ability to negotiate contracts and onboard new vendors effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems related to power generation.
  • Previous leadership experience in procurement or supply chain management roles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all procurement activities related to power generation projects, including power plants and utility substations.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and project requirements.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including negotiation, onboarding, and performance evaluation to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to understand project needs and construction methodologies specific to utility substations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to electrical systems and power generation equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to optimize efficiency and reduce risks.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
