About The Position

Mars Snacking North America is seeking a Sr. Director, Strategy, Planning & Capabilities to lead our digital transformation. In this critical role, you will shape and activate the regional digital and data strategy, serving as the connective tissue between our global platforms and market-specific execution. You will be responsible for translating enterprise-wide strategy into high-impact initiatives across AI, data, and digital technologies, accelerating business value and embedding innovation into our core operations. Reporting directly to the SVP / Chief Digital & Information Officer for North America, you will be a pivotal member of the leadership team, driving the end-to-end planning, prioritization, and capability-building agenda. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • 15+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, or digital/data leadership roles
  • Prior experience at a top-tier consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) is strongly preferred.
  • A proven track record of defining and executing digital, data, and AI strategies at scale within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Deep understanding of the data, analytics, AI/ML, and digital technology ecosystems.
  • Strong business acumen, preferably within CPG, retail, or adjacent industries.
  • Strategic, hypothesis-driven problem solver with the ability to bridge strategy with hands-on execution.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influence, and executive-level storytelling capabilities.
  • Financial acumen with experience building and defending investment cases.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in AI/ML deployment and scaling
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms (cloud, data lakes)
  • Exposure to ecommerce or retail media.

Responsibilities

  • Define and continuously evolve the North America DT, Data & Analytics strategy to align with global priorities and regional business goals.
  • Lead the regional AI agenda, from identifying and prioritizing high-value use cases to scaling them across the business.
  • Act as the central integrator across Data, Analytics, Technology, and business teams to ensure seamless, end-to-end support for priorities.
  • Implement robust governance for the DT portfolio, lead strategic planning cycles, and manage investment business cases.
  • Build and scale critical capabilities across Data, Analytics, AI, and Digital Technologies, while defining the North America operating model.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with global teams to align on platforms and roadmaps, influencing the global agenda with regional insights.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, translating complex data and AI topics into clear business narratives to drive alignment.
  • Drive adoption and data/AI literacy across the region through targeted internal communications, change management, and executive engagement.
