About The Position

Fortinet is seeking a dynamic and Senior Director, Product Marketing to lead a team in driving product marketing activities. The ideal candidate will help team collaborate closely with product management to develop and execute successful product messaging strategies, ensuring competitive advantage and market leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Marketing, or Sales with demonstrated knowledge of technology.
  • 4-6 years of experience leading a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people at all technical and management levels.
  • Ability to synthesize information from various sources to form own opinion and gain support from others.
  • Proven track record of driving product messaging to sales, channels, and customers.
  • BS/BA minimum

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of product marketing professionals.
  • Develop compelling value propositions for products with sustainable competitive advantages.
  • Drive product launches and go-to-market models.
  • Provide direction for customer communications and press tours.
  • Create content for sales activities, including data sheets, presentations, brochures, videos, and web tools.
  • Monitor competitors to ensure proper positioning of products.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and demonstrate a thorough understanding of technology trends, competitive updates, channel performance, pricing, and user requirements.
  • Own pricing strategies for products, tracking trends and proposing price moves as needed.
  • Monitor revenue and initiate actions to achieve targets.
  • Engage with sales organizations to understand market acceptance and develop sales plans.
  • Understand feature/performance enhancements needed to maintain products in the market over time.
