About The Position

The Sr. Director of Procurement is a key strategic leader responsible for driving a world-class global procurement function within a manufacturing environment. This role is tasked with optimizing sourcing strategies, strengthening supply chain resilience, and integrating sustainable procurement initiatives. The Sr. Director of Procurement will play a critical role in EBITDA growth through value creation, cost efficiencies, and strategic supplier partnerships while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of procurement and supply chain leadership experience; at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings, supplier innovation, and supply chain resiliency while enhancing EBITDA.
  • Solid understanding of sustainable procurement, ESG principles, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with digital procurement tools, ERP systems, and AI-driven sourcing technologies.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Broad understanding of the global chemical and resin industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a global procurement team capable of capitalizing on supply market opportunities while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Lead and execute procurement initiatives across multiple geographies and manufacturing facilities, leveraging economies of scale and supplier innovation.
  • Partner with Senior Leadership to drive a high-performance culture with a focus on continuous improvement, capability building, and talent development within the procurement function.
  • Develop and execute a robust procurement strategy that aligns with the company's manufacturing operations, sustainability goals, and EBITDA growth targets.
  • Implement standardized procurement policies and processes to enhance efficiency, visibility, cost control, and sustainability.
  • Embed sustainable procurement practices into governance frameworks to ensure long-term environmental and social responsibility.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational efficiency
  • Maximize value creation and drive EBITDA enhancement through strategic category management, supplier negotiations, and cost leadership.
  • Identify new opportunities for cost reduction, value engineering, and strategic supplier collaborations to enhance competitiveness.
  • Leverage market intelligence and supplier partnerships to drive innovation and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Ensure category strategies incorporate circular economy principles, responsible sourcing, and environmentally sustainable materials to reduce carbon footprint.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure supply chain resilience and minimize disruption risks.
  • Develop risk management frameworks to proactively address supply chain vulnerabilities and ensure business continuity.
  • Negotiate and oversee supplier agreements, ensuring they align with long-term business objectives and operational excellence.
  • Implement supplier sustainability assessments and collaboration programs to drive responsible business practices, reduce environmental impact, and enhance ethical sourcing.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in supplier performance through benchmarking, innovation incentives, and ongoing capability development.
  • Enhance procurement efficiency through the deployment of digital tools, AI-driven analytics, and ERP integration.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize purchasing decisions, improve supplier collaboration, and drive strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Continuously assess and improve procurement systems to support scalability and operational resilience.
  • Support global manufacturing initiatives from a cost, risk, and sustainability standpoint, ensuring alignment with business growth strategies.
