Sr. Director, Plant Manager - Sandy
About The Position
This role directs the BD Sandy Plant in the manufacturing of infusion therapy catheters and other medical devices. The position is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, driving continuous manufacturing improvement, supporting new product launches, and developing employees through training, education, and engagement. The role also supports the Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain in developing manufacturing strategies and participates in platform and core teams to achieve business and operational objectives. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience (medical device industry preferred)
- At least 8 years in leadership roles, including multi-level management
- Experience with Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong manufacturing and business knowledge
- Effective communication skills
- Coaching and leadership capabilities
- Sound decision-making and judgment
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, ISO, GMP)
- Team-building capability
- Lean or Six Sigma expertise
- Ability to take decisive action
- Ability to adapt to challenges

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to support business and operational goals with a zero-loss mindset.
- Establish and maintain a culture focused on employee safety and continuous improvement.

- Lead and coach the plant leadership team. Ensure clear development goals, provide support, and manage organizational changes when required.
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international regulations and company policies.
- Oversee maintenance of buildings, equipment, and infrastructure in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Promote environmental, health, and safety compliance aligned with legal standards and best practices.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
- Represent the Sandy plant in legal, regulatory, and community engagements. Maintain a positive organizational image.
- Partner with global supply chain teams to meet production capacity and ensure timely execution of projects.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements. Support audits and ensure timely completion of corrective actions (CAPA).
- Perform other responsibilities as required to support business needs.
