About The Position

As the Senior Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives. This role requires collaborating cross-functionally to address human capital needs, driving HR initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will lead HR teams, utilize data analytics to measure progress, and promote a culture of compliance, integrity, inclusion, diversity, and equity. As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 15+ years of HR experience, with at least 8+ years in a leadership role.
  • HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP).
  • Expertise in deploying human capital in fast-growing, multi-site enterprises.
  • Demonstrated success in driving HR activities and goals for continuous growth and advancement.
  • Ability to lead HR as a strategic and tactical resource for executive, managers, and supervisors.
  • Experience in building scalable HR programs to support organizational growth.
  • Demonstrated experience enhancing organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability through human asset alignment.
  • Experience managing employee and compliance risk, with knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Leadership skills in change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, accountability, and performance management.
  • Ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, inspire teams, drive innovating thinking, instill collaboration, challenge the status quo, and adapt to dynamic situations.
  • Proven skills in team building, conflict resolution, presentations, and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to navigate change and uncertainty, make defensible decision in ambiguity, and own those decisions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale HR projects and initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency with Workday or similar HRIS systems.
  • Proficiency in assessing external competition by gathering and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data into meaningful reports and presentations.
  • Leadership acumen to act as a strategic partner to top executives, with the ability to establish a collaborative presence and contribute significantly on key leadership committees.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and integration.
  • Passion for ideation and innovation, with the ability to motivate others by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.
  • Proven capability to maintain a long-term and strategic perspective, visualizing and articulating a clear direction beyond immediate initiatives.
