About The Position

We are building a world-class Lean Capability organization to accelerate enterprise performance, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the business. As the Senior Director, Lean Capability, you will define and lead the global strategy for building problem-solving capability, developing Lean leaders, and institutionalizing management systems that drive sustainable business results. You will collaborate across regions and functions to coach leaders, design scalable development pathways, and integrate Lean behaviors into daily operations. You will partner closely with executive leaders across regions and functions to shape enterprise capability priorities, accelerate organizational learning, and enable lasting cultural change. Through coaching, capability system design, and deployment of scalable development pathways, you will help leaders build the skills, behaviors, and routines needed to drive performance and continuously improve how we operate. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations management with a focus on lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management skills, with an ability to translate vision into actionable initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience translating lean concepts to business process, digital, and commercial work content is desirable, but not expected.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial operations environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive, regional, and functional leaders to solve critical business challenges and improve organizational performance.
  • Design and deploy a global Lean capability strategy that builds leadership effectiveness, problem-solving capability, and continuous improvement behaviors across the enterprise.
  • Coach and mentor leaders at all levels on Lean management principles, including PDCA, A3 thinking, Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, and structured problem solving.
  • Develop scalable learning pathways, coaching systems, and capability-building programs that strengthen leadership and operational excellence capabilities globally.
  • Assess organizational capabilities and performance gaps, identify development opportunities, and prioritize actions based on business impact and strategic needs.
  • Establish standards, frameworks, and governance mechanisms that ensure consistency while enabling local ownership and execution.
  • Serve as a visible enterprise champion for continuous improvement, operational excellence, accountability, and people development.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional improvement initiatives that address complex operational, customer, and business performance challenges.
  • Conduct executive gemba and on-site observations to develop organizational insight, identify barriers to performance, and strengthen leadership engagement.
  • Facilitate strategic problem-solving efforts, helping leaders identify root causes, develop effective countermeasures, and sustain results.
  • Lead Kaizen events, executive workshops, and transformation activities that accelerate capability development and business outcomes.
  • Monitor performance indicators and organizational health measures to ensure improvements are delivering sustainable business impact.
  • Foster a culture of learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement by embedding Lean behaviors into daily management and leadership practices.
