About The Position

As part of CIBC’s Treasury group, you’ll play a key role in managing the bank’s funding and liquidity activities, hedging structural market risks, and maximizing the fair value of CIBC’s balance sheet. As the Senior Director, Global Term Funding, you’ll price and execute capital markets transactions to support CIBC’s wholesale term funding, identify and source cost-effective transactions in global fixed income markets, and develop strategies for senior and subordinated debt across fixed income, derivatives, foreign exchange, and money markets. You’ll manage ongoing interest rate and FX risk, accounting relationships, and cash positions for the Term Funding books. You’ll also arrange and execute interest rate structured notes, partner with Capital Markets on internal programs, and coordinate large public and private fixed income capital markets transactions. Your expertise will support Treasury’s Capital Management and transfer pricing functions, while you maintain awareness of economic trends and build strong relationships with both internal and external capital markets participants. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.
