About The Position

The Senior Director, Enterprise Solution Architecture defines and governs the enterprise architecture strategy for a global manufacturing organization. This leader owns the architecture framework, ensures platform cohesion across SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, GCP, and Microsoft, and drives modernization across supply chain, manufacturing, commercial, and corporate domains. The role requires strong executive presence, deep cross‑platform expertise, and the ability to influence C‑suite decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 15+ years in enterprise architecture, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
  • Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA across multiple functional domains.
  • Strong architecture experience with Salesforce (Sales, Service, CPQ).
  • Hands‑on cloud architecture experience in GCP and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven leadership of large‑scale integration across SAP, Salesforce, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with data platforms, AI/ML, and analytics modernization.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, identity, and compliance frameworks.
  • Executive‑level communication and stakeholder influence.
  • Experience leading architecture for multi‑year transformation programs.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP S/4HANA certification or equivalent experience.
  • Salesforce Architect certifications (Application, System, Technical Architect).
  • GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Data Engineer certification.
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Experience with manufacturing digitalization, IoT, MES, and plant connectivity.
  • Background in enterprise MDM, data governance, and AI enablement.
  • TOGAF Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise architecture framework, including business architecture, application architecture, data architecture, integration architecture, cloud architecture, and security architecture.
  • Define enterprise‑wide architecture principles (cloud‑first, API‑first, event‑driven, zero‑trust, reuse‑over‑build).
  • Maintain the enterprise capability map and ensure alignment with business strategy.
  • Lead architecture across SAP S/4HANA, including FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, QM, IBP, Ariba, Group Reporting, and MES.
  • Govern Salesforce architecture across Sales, Service, CPQ, Experience Cloud, and partner ecosystems.
  • Direct cloud architecture across GCP (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Pub/Sub, Dataflow) and Microsoft (Azure).
  • Ensure cohesive integration across platforms using SAP BTP, MuleSoft, Apigee, Kafka/event streaming, and modern EDI.
  • Chair the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and domain councils (SAP, Salesforce, Data, Cloud, Integration).
  • Establish and enforce standards, reference architectures, and design patterns.
  • Implement Architecture Decision Records, design review processes, and exception management.
  • Own multi‑year roadmaps for S/4 transformation, CRM modernization, cloud migration, data & AI platform evolution, MES modernization, and cybersecurity uplift.
  • Serve as chief architect for major enterprise programs.
  • Lead a team of enterprise, domain, and solution architects.
  • Operate a federated architecture model with centralized governance and embedded architects in programs.
  • Establish architecture KPIs (reuse, compliance, technical debt reduction, time‑to‑market).
  • Present architecture strategy, risks, and investment recommendations to CIO, CFO, COO, and business presidents.
  • Translate complex technical decisions into business‑aligned narratives.
  • Influence vendor strategy and ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Embed architectural standards into CI/CD pipelines, implement shift-left security practices, and empower agile delivery teams with clear "guardrails, not speed bumps."
  • Define enterprise strategy for GenAI, Agentic AI, and edge computing; establish AI architectural guardrails, ethical usage frameworks, and integration patterns.
  • Conduct continuous portfolio reviews to retire legacy systems, consolidate overlapping capability tools, and track tech debt reduction.
  • Architect end‑to‑end operational resilience, fault tolerance, and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies across hybrid cloud, plant floor, and core platforms.
  • Establish FinOps governance to optimize cloud spend (GCP/Azure), rationalize redundant SaaS applications, reduce technical debt, and lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
