About The Position

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Sr. Director, Corporate FP&A is the enterprise leader for integrated planning, forecasting, performance management, and management reporting across Cleveland Diagnostics. This leader consolidates results across the company's corporate functions, translates financial and operational performance into forward-looking insights, and equips the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors with clear, decision-relevant perspectives. The role calls for deep FP&A fundamentals paired with hands-on fluency in AI-enabled finance tools, along with direct experience in diagnostics or laboratory services, including reimbursement and payer dynamics. Success requires someone who can modernize how the finance function operates while bringing rigor and discipline to enterprise planning and executive reporting.

Requirements

  • An accomplished finance leader with a minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, including substantial time in FP&A, business finance, or strategic finance roles, who brings direct experience in diagnostics, clinical laboratory services, or a closely related healthcare segment.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Distinguishes structural trends from timing items, surfaces risks and opportunities early, and drives clear actions and accountability.
  • Communicates complex financial matters clearly to senior leaders and colleagues outside finance.
  • Strong understanding of reimbursement models, payer contracting, and test-level unit economics.
  • Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills, with the ability to integrate P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and operational drivers into a coherent forward view.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise planning, forecasting, long-range planning, performance management, and executive reporting across multiple product lines, functions, and/or geographies.
  • Active use of AI tools in day-to-day finance work — whether for modeling, reporting, forecasting, or analysis — and enthusiasm for bringing that approach to Cleveland Diagnostics.
  • Track record of partnering with senior executives, presenting to executive leadership teams and Boards, and communicating complex financial topics clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred MBA, CPA, or other comparable advanced credential.
  • Experience in medical technology, life sciences, or diagnostics.
  • Public-company experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning process, building driver-based models reflecting test volume, payer mix, reimbursement rates, and unit economics across lab developed tests (LDTs) and IVD kit-based offerings.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, translating financial results into clear narratives on revenue, margin, and cash flow performance for the CFO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board.
  • Partner with commercial, lab operations, R&D, and billing/reimbursement teams to evaluate new test launches, pricing and payer strategy, and investment decisions, applying rigorous scenario and sensitivity analysis to support key tradeoffs.
  • Apply AI and automation tools to forecasting, variance analysis, reporting, and data modeling to increase speed and accuracy while reducing manual effort.
  • Strengthen budgeting processes and cost center accountability across the organization, and ensure financial reporting and KPI definitions are consistent and well-governed.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the CFO on capital allocation, investment prioritization, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Accounting, IT, and functional teams to improve source-system integration, data quality, reconciliation, and traceability from operational drivers to reported financial outcomes.
