About The Position

This role leads strategic communications for the Pelvic Health Operating Unit, a key growth area within Medtronic's Neuroscience Portfolio. The position reports to the President of Pelvic Health and functionally to the Vice President of Neuroscience Communications. The primary goal is to develop and execute integrated communication strategies that drive business growth and strengthen company culture. The role involves shaping a compelling narrative for Pelvic Health to support its global leadership in sacral neuromodulation, accelerate growth in implantable tibial neuromodulation, and drive commercial transformation. It requires a business-minded leader who can translate strategy into clear, audience-centered communications to build confidence, alignment, and accountability during a period of significant change and opportunity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in an integrated communications, business or corporate communications role
  • 10+ years of people or program managerial experience
  • OR advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years relevant experience and 10+ years of people or program managerial experience.

  • Demonstrated experience using metrics and audience insights to measure communication effectiveness and optimize strategy.
  • Familiarity with digital channels, modern communications tools, and data-enabled approaches to audience engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that advances Pelvic Health’s business priorities, aligns with the Operating Unit President’s voice, and supports the broader Neuroscience portfolio.
  • Ensure communications help employees and stakeholders understand the business direction, reasons for change, and the connection of priorities to growth, patients, and performance.
  • Shape and amplify a clear, differentiated Pelvic Health story focused on expanding patient access, accelerating Altaviva adoption, sustaining SNM leadership, and positioning the business as an innovator in incontinence care and urology.
  • Translate complex business and clinical priorities into compelling narratives for internal and external audiences.
  • Guide executive communications and thought leadership plans to elevate key leaders and position Pelvic Health as a category leader with a credible, forward-looking perspective.
  • Lead communications supporting major transformation efforts across people, process, technology, and culture, reinforcing role clarity, readiness, accountability, and confidence.
  • Lead the strategic development and execution of integrated campaigns connecting business strategy, product storytelling, patient impact, and brand reputation across earned, owned, and internal channels.
  • Partner with business and HR leaders to strengthen employee connection to strategy, activate culture, and reinforce a high-performing, growth-oriented mindset.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with media, analysts, and industry influencers to enhance visibility and elevate Pelvic Health’s reputation externally.
  • Proactively shape the Pelvic Health operating unit’s identity across paid, earned, shared, and owned channels, leading communication planning and response strategies to protect trust and maintain credibility.
  • Use data and audience insights to assess communication effectiveness, strengthen message resonance, and continuously improve outcomes, linking metrics to business priorities.
  • Partner closely with GCCM colleagues and cross-functional leaders across marketing, commercial, HR, clinical, and corporate communications to represent Pelvic Health’s priorities and elevate its stories in enterprise channels.
