About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Director, Clinical Data Management to lead and inspire a large, globally distributed Clinical Data Management organization while driving the delivery of high-quality clinical data that supports life-changing therapies. In this high-impact leadership role, you will oversee large-scale data management operations, influence global strategy, champion process innovation, and build strong partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders. Your leadership will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of clinical trials and advancing healthcare outcomes worldwide.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required, typically requires 10 years of prior relevant experience
Significant leadership experience in Clinical Data Management within the CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research industry.
Deep expertise in clinical data management processes, systems, and emerging technologies.
Proven experience managing large, complex organizations and global teams.
Strategic and critical thinker with a strong business and operational mindset.
Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated success leading organizational change and transformation initiatives.
Strong customer focus with the ability to build trusted executive-level relationships.
Outstanding problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation capabilities.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for a large Clinical Data Management organization of 150+ professionals and/or multiple regional offices.
Build and execute workforce and capacity strategies that align with business growth and client commitments.
Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture focused on development, accountability, and innovation.
Mentor and develop future leaders within the organization.
Ensure the successful delivery of clinical databases that meet quality, timeline, and customer expectations.
Optimize resource utilization, realization, and operational efficiency across teams and regions.
Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead strategic planning to ensure organizational readiness for current and future business demands.
Partner with regional and global leaders to define department goals, technology strategies, and process improvements.
Evaluate emerging data management technologies, industry trends, and competitive developments to drive innovation.
Champion adoption of new tools, processes, and best practices that enhance quality, efficiency, and customer value.
Support enterprise-level initiatives that strengthen the organization's data management capabilities.
Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients, account teams, and functional stakeholders.
Lead executive-level discussions regarding delivery strategy, operational performance, and long-term partnerships.
Provide operational expertise for proposals, strategic alliances, and large-scale clinical development programs.
Represent Data Management in steering committees and strategic customer engagements when appropriate.
Ensure teams maintain compliance with applicable regulations, SOPs, and quality standards.
Develop and implement training and talent strategies that enhance technical and business expertise.
Create an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Lead performance management, coaching, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
