About The Position

The Senior Director of Asset Protection is responsible for providing strategic leadership and enterprise oversight of the company's Asset Protection function. Reporting to the Vice President of Asset Protection & Safety, this executive leader partners across the organization to protect company assets, employees, customers, and brand reputation while enabling business growth and operational excellence. This role leads the development and execution of enterprise Asset Protection strategies, including physical security, investigations, security technology, field operations, risk management, and compliance programs. The Senior Director will build scalable solutions, establish operational standards, and develop high-performing teams that drive consistent execution across the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Security, or Investigations.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-site operations within retail, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience managing enterprise physical security programs and investigative functions.
  • Experience overseeing capital budgets, procurement processes, and vendor management.
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, access control, investigative methodologies, and physical security design.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise Asset Protection strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards, performance metrics, and governance programs that strengthen security, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Drive enterprise-wide initiatives that reduce risk, improve program effectiveness, and support continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on asset protection, security, and operational risk matters.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all Asset Protection programs and field operations.
  • Ensure consistent execution of operational controls, compliance requirements, and company initiatives across all locations.
  • Evaluate program performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead corrective action efforts where necessary.
  • Build and develop a high-performing Asset Protection team through coaching, mentorship, and leadership development.
  • Own the enterprise physical security strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Lead the deployment, management, and optimization of security technologies, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and visitor management systems.
  • Establish standards for system design, monitoring, maintenance, and site security assessments.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that enhance security and operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee enterprise investigations involving theft, fraud, workplace misconduct, policy violations, and other loss-related incidents.
  • Establish investigation standards, reporting protocols, and case management practices that ensure consistency, integrity, and compliance.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Legal, and Operations to address complex investigations and mitigate organizational risk.
  • Manage operating and capital budgets for physical security and Asset Protection programs.
  • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and strategic partnerships with security and technology providers.
  • Ensure investments and projects deliver measurable business value while meeting budget and performance expectations.
  • Develop training programs and leadership capabilities that strengthen Asset Protection and operational teams.
  • Partner with Operations and business leaders to improve execution, reduce risk, and enhance facility performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous learning throughout the organization.
