About The Position

The Sr. Director, Analytics will be responsible for driving the analytical strategy and business data strategy of Archimedes through leadership of the Analytics organization. This team collaborates with business partners and internal subject matter experts to provide and deliver data-driven insights, external client reporting, compliance reporting, data science functions including machine learning and artificial intelligence, and analytical support. This role will create enhancements to the company’s analytic and reporting infrastructures including prototyping, benchmarking, business, data science, and statistical analysis. The Sr. Director, Analytics will lead the team in becoming strategic thought partners with senior stakeholders and external clients. The Sr. Director, Analytics will be responsible for introducing new methods and tools to the organization, including the incorporation of artificial intelligence/machine learning as appropriate through their leadership of the Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Workgroup. This role models and develops consultative analytic skills with the team, including needs analysis, requirements gathering, and prioritization with internal and external business partners. This role will create a concerted effort in revenue generation for value added analytic services and tools to our customers. This role brings both content and process-oriented analytical and data expertise, provides advice, and will contribute to a wide variety of business projects across every team and department of the Archimedes enterprise. The Sr. Director, Analytics will ensure that internal and external business partners have the data, information, and insights they need to move the business forward.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in a technical field, preferably in Business, Information Systems, Statistics, or healthcare, required.
  • 10+ years of experience in pharmacy/healthcare and financial modeling and analysis required.
  • Experience using supplemental software tools (e.g., MS Access, Excel) to achieve analytic results defined in project plans required.
  • Must be proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, relational databases, and statistical applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Business, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, QlikSense, Tableau or Power BI preferred.
  • Experience automating applications using macros/VBA preferred.
  • AI/ ML experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Guide others to prepare for and respond to changes with quick and focused actions.
  • Demonstrate people leadership and development / coaching abilities, as this role involves the teaching and development of team members across a wide array of backgrounds, skills, and interests, including alternative staffing models such as off-site, consultants, etc.
  • Help identify, evaluate, and implement new data-driven strategies and processes for the organization, orchestrating change initiatives that involve multiple teams and functions.
  • Drive enhancements to existing systems in accordance to business needs through existing and new information delivery technologies.
  • Database design, data extraction, and ad-hoc data manipulation using industry leading applications and facilitating information and idea sharing within teams and across organization boundaries.
  • Participate in ongoing data validation and data strategy to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Continually identify, improve, and expand the BI value to business users to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Deliver software presentations to prospective clients.
  • Manage the support to power users who develop reports on behalf of their departmental teammates.
  • Develop and provide insights into streamlining Archimedes analytics processes. Research, define and deploy improvement opportunities.
  • Leverage Archimedes PBM business model knowledge to increase overall corporate understanding and performance and analytical insights from the data.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance, people and culture, and learning programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
