About The Position

We are looking to hire a Senior Director of AI Ecosystem & Partner Innovation to lead the technical strategy, execution, and operating model for third-party integrations into the Verkada platform. This role will own the technical partner ecosystem, working closely with the broader Partner Integrations team to build and maintain strong technical relationships with each integration partner. The leader will ensure partner efforts remain live, reliable, supportable, and actively maintained, with any issues quickly identified, escalated, and corrected. The Senior Director will define the standards and processes needed to ensure integrations are stable, secure, and continuously validated as both Verkada and partner platforms evolve. This includes tracking deployments, aligning support ownership, managing escalation paths, and ensuring each integration remains reliable through product, API, and code changes. Internally, this role will closely coordinate with Field and Product leadership to ensure all external partner efforts are aligned to customer needs, product direction, support readiness, and field execution. The goal is to create a fully validated set of partner integrations that are not only technically sound, but also valuable, deployable, and trusted by customers and the field. The team will also create the tools and frameworks that make it easier for partners to build with Verkada, including developer toolkits, API wrappers, sample code, validation automation, reference architectures, and “art of the possible” demos. These assets should help partners move from concept to MVP quickly while giving Verkada a repeatable model for scaling integrations. This leader will build and manage a technical team spanning AI workflows, APIs, DevOps automation, partner engineering, and developer experience. The objective is to turn Verkada’s integrations motion into a scalable ecosystem strategy that drives customer value, partner innovation, and platform differentiation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in building API level integrations between companies
  • Previous experience building and managing these integrations as well as organizing how integrations are supported once delivered to customers
  • Excellent communication and Customer Facing/Partner Facing skills to ensure that all work supports the larger Verkada goals
  • Ability to work with many internal and external parties at the same time in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of accountability and adaptability.
  • Passion for technology, education, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a single source of truth for all partner integration efforts, including current status, priority, ownership, business value, deployment state, and health.
  • Own the integration intake and prioritization process across requests from Verkada, customers, partners, and the Field organization.
  • Own the active technical business relationship with each strategic integration partner, ensuring clear alignment on roadmap, responsibilities, support model, and escalation paths.
  • Ensure completed integrations are supportable by both Verkada and partner support organizations, including documentation, troubleshooting guides, escalation procedures, and handoff models.
  • Lead the team responsible for building tools, software, reference architectures, and developer resources that make Verkada the easiest physical security platform to integrate with.
  • Build field- and partner-ready technical enablement materials that explain the value, use cases, architecture, differentiation, and support model for each integration.
