Sr. Direct Support Professional (Afternoons)
About The Position
The Senior Direct Support Professional is responsible for light housework including cooking, meal prep, and cleaning. They will also maintain personal care/hygiene routines such as feeding, medication administration, bathing, showering, and toileting. This role involves providing transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, outside activities, and excursions. The Senior Direct Support Professional will offer behavioral and social support, including managing potential physical and verbal outbursts or aggressiveness. Additionally, this position may require occasional sleepover shifts and/or supervising a residential home in the absence of a Residential Supervisor. The Senior Direct Support Professional will also assist the Residential Supervisor with any other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Valid Driver’s License with 2 years of consecutive driving experience and less than 3 moving violations within the past 36 months
- Ability to pass pre-employment background/physical/TB/drug screenings
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as needed
- Previous direct support/caregiving experience and/or experience working with individuals with disabilities

- Providing occasional sleepover shifts and/or supervise a residential home in which there is no Residential Supervisor
- Assisting the Residential Supervisor in any other assigned duties
