About The Position

The Senior Direct Support Professional is responsible for light housework including cooking, meal prep, and cleaning. They will also maintain personal care/hygiene routines such as feeding, medication administration, bathing, showering, and toileting. This role involves providing transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, outside activities, and excursions. Additionally, the Senior Direct Support Professional will offer behavioral and social support, which may include working with individuals experiencing potential physical and verbal outbursts or aggressiveness. The position may also require providing occasional sleepover shifts and/or supervising a residential home in the absence of a Residential Supervisor. Assisting the Residential Supervisor with other assigned duties is also part of the role.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Valid Driver’s License with 2 years of consecutive driving experience and less than 3 moving violations within the past 36 months
• Ability to pass pre-employment background/physical/TB/drug screenings
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as needed
• Previous direct support/caregiving experience and/or experience working with individuals with disabilities
