About The Position

Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of Caterpillar’s state-of-the-art digital platform. Build a world class platform to host a wide range of digital applications. Perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision; normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work. Work on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls. Work independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems. Drive application development focused around delivering business valuable features. Assist software engineers, providing technical assistance and direction as needed. Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices. Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team. Develop a structured application and interface code, new program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides in a flexible environment. Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, inter-operability, and completeness. Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that require careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 6 years of experience working as Digital Product Owner, Project Manager, Software Engineer or related position.
  • Leading a technical team while managing multiple projects.
  • Working with developers in the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or HCL Commerce environment.
  • Managing projects using Agile software tools such as: Mingle, DevOps/VSTS, JIRA, Team Services, Rally.
  • Software change request management and managing software product change requests.
  • Resolving software problems and managing software problems in installed software products.
  • Managing install base, current uses, future plans and product vision of software products.
  • UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques and designing, implementing and evaluating acceptance tests for end-users.
  • Software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
