Sr. DevOps Engineer
About The Position
Leidos is hiring a Sr. DevOps Engineer in its Intel Security Sector’s Analysis Solutions Business Area to provide mission-critical system support to a customer. The engineer will work closely with development teams and other technology stakeholders to maintain, develop, and support legacy and new intelligence-community enterprise products in an Agile SAFe environment. In collaboration with software engineering, the role will deploy and operate systems, automate and streamline operations and processes, build and maintain deployment, monitoring, and operations tools, and troubleshoot issues across development, test, and production environments.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience setting up one or more of GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting issues with two or more of GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
- Demonstrated experience working within a software development team and supporting developers and developer activities.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 or more years of relevant work experience, or a master’s degree with 6 or more years of relevant work experience; additional work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- AWS Associate Certification (Developer, Solution Architect, or Sys Ops Administrator).
- AWS Professional Certification (DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).
- Demonstrated experience in container orchestration using Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/ECR.
- Demonstrated experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, and Unix shell scripting.
- Demonstrated experience with Ansible or Puppet.
Responsibilities
- Support software deployments, cloud infrastructure baselines, and the operational availability of production systems.
- Manage, build, configure, administer, operate, and maintain components of the DevOps environment.
- Define enterprise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices.
- Codify DevOps best practices across the enterprise.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate tool deployment to an AWS cloud environment and perform other tasks.
- Script and maintain build environments.
- Work with project teams to integrate their products into the DevOps environment.
