You enjoy tackling complex delivery challenges, modernizing enterprise platforms, and accelerating software delivery for federal clients. Your approach emphasizes automation, champions security, and delivers scalable, production-ready solutions across hybrid and classified environments. As a DevOps Engineer SME, you will be the subject matter expert for enterprise DevOps strategy, CI/CD architecture, and secure software delivery. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing automated deployment platforms using tools like GitLab, containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud-native patterns, ensuring alignment with AFS accelerators and compliance frameworks. You will lead modernization efforts across various environments to guarantee reliable delivery of applications and machine-learning solutions, while also establishing enterprise-wide DevOps best practices and ensuring zero-trust alignment.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience supporting automated testing and software deployment across multi-environment pipelines.
  • Strong scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar).
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and configuration-management tools.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex software, infrastructure, and deployment issues.
  • Minimum of an Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship
  • A minimum of an Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting machine-learning workflows, MLOps platforms, or AI/ML infrastructure.
  • Experience with source control platforms (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
  • Relevant industry certifications (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Security, DevOps).
