About The Position

The Sr. DevOps Engineer supports mission-critical systems and enterprise products, including legacy and new solutions, in an Agile SAFe environment. The role works closely with development teams and technology stakeholders to deploy and operate systems, maintain and support enterprise DevOps environments, and ensure the operational availability of production systems. Responsibilities span cloud infrastructure baselines, software deployments, build environments, monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting across development, test, and production environments.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance with at least a CI polygraph; the posting also states TS/SCI with a Full-Scope Polygraph (FSP) is required.
U.S. citizenship.
Bachelor’s degree and 8 or more years of relevant work experience, or a master’s degree and 6 or more years of relevant work experience; additional work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated experience setting up one or more of GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting issues with two or more of GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
Demonstrated experience working within a software development team and supporting developers and developer activities.

Nice To Haves

AWS Associate Certification (Developer, Solution Architect, or Sys Ops Administrator).
AWS Professional Certification (DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).
Demonstrated experience in container orchestration using Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/ECR.
Demonstrated experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, and Unix shell scripting.
Demonstrated experience with Ansible or Puppet.

Responsibilities

Support software deployments, cloud infrastructure baselines, and the operational availability of production systems.
Manage, build, configure, administer, operate, and maintain the components that comprise the DevOps environment.
Define enterprise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices.
Codify DevOps best practices across the enterprise.
Develop and maintain scripts to automate tool deployment to an AWS cloud environment and other tasks.
Script and maintain build environments.
Work with project teams to integrate their products into the DevOps environment.
Collaborate with software engineering to deploy and operate systems.
Automate and streamline operations and processes, and build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
