Sr DevOps Eng (Sys Integration & Test)
About The Position
BAE Systems is hiring Sr DevOps Engineers with experience in system integration and testing. This role involves interacting with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. The engineer will identify functional problems and suggest resolutions, define internal quality control standards, and maintain reliability programs. Responsibilities also include documenting and analyzing test cases, providing feedback for product or design changes, and ensuring testing procedures comply with industry standards. The role contributes to the development of improvements in overall testing and quality programs. Additionally, the engineer will analyze system requirements and concepts of operations documents to develop evaluation and test plans, prepare for and conduct data collection and analysis, and report status and results. Providing visibility into progress and impediments is key. The position supports the development of Government test and evaluation documentation, works with other test organizations for T&E program integration, and provides specialized T&E capabilities. Executing test plans and procedures, confirming automated test results, and acting as a witness for demonstrations and testing events are also part of the role.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Experience with GEOINT workflows
- Experience with system of systems testing
- Experience with test automation software (JMeter, JUnit, Test Complete)
Responsibilities
- Interacting with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications.
- Identifying functional problems and suggests resolutions.
- Defining internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.
- Documenting and analyzing test cases and provides feedback and recommendations for product or design changes.
- Ensuring testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards.
- Contribute to the developingment of improvements to overall testing and quality programs for improved results.
- Analyzing system requirements and concepts of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plan and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection and analysis, and report status and results
- Providing visibility into progress and impediments
- Supporting the development of Government test and evaluation documentation e.g., Test & Evaluation Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports
- Working with other test organizations to support T&E program integration
- Providing specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance areas
- Executing test plans and procedures, confirm results of automated tests
- Acts as witness for demonstrations and testing events providing feedback to government
