About The Position

Southwest Gas Corporation seeks a Sr. Developer/SAP BW/HANA to provide high-level technical support for all aspects of the HANA data models within the SAP BW landscape as it relates to business analytics, reporting requirements and infrastructure development. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of business and infrastructure change programs for all HANA data models, associated ETL and Data Services; which includes gathering requirements, technical analysis, backend and frontend software design and development, quality assurance, documentation and successful deployment for all HANA and associated components within the SAP BW, HANA, and Data Services landscapes. May supervise 2 individuals with titles such as Developer/SAP BW/HANA. Other duties as assigned. Work from home available within a commuting distance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related field (or equivalent) and 4 years of experience with SAP BW/BI/HANA.
• Demonstrated ability with Data Warehousing: SAP BW and SAP BW4HANA.
• Demonstrated ability with Analytics: SAP Analytics Cloud BI, SAP Analytics Cloud Analytics Designer, and SAP Business Objects (Web Intelligence, Design Studio, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability with SAP BW on HANA Data Modeling & Development.
• Demonstrated ability with design and development within BW on HANA with SAP ERP/S/4HANA, C4C, BW-on-HANA-Eclipse based Modeling Tool Data Modeling using Advanced DSO, HANA composite provider, HANA Custom development, Calculation Views, and modelling through HANA Graphical calculation views.
• Demonstrated ability with ABAP, SQL, BW transformations, AMDP scripts, Table Functions, and Scalar Functions.
• Demonstrated ability developing extraction methodology from SAP S/4 HANA.
• Demonstrated ability with Performance tuning for end-to-end data load and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability with Various SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) tools including development lifecycle on either BW or SAP (Native) and HANA from design through implementation and production support.
• Demonstrated ability with SAP (Native) HANA and SAP BW Security concepts including User Management, Roles, and Privileges.
• Demonstrated ability with Debugging the configuration issues and optimizing the runtime performance by identifying the bottlenecks and design issues.
• Supporting large and complex productive SAP environments.
• Understanding of Security, efficient code reuse, and software design.
• Understanding of Systems testing and IT implementation.
• Understanding of Project Management, utilities, and process mapping.
• Understanding of Business processes and process differentiation.
• Analyzing and synthesizing business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes.
