Sr Design Automation Engineer

MedtronicHumacao, PR
Onsite

About The Position

The Senior Design Engineer role is a critical technical leader for the Humacao Innovation Roadmap, providing the systems-level ownership required to design, integrate, and scale advanced automation solutions across the site. This position leads the architecture and development of robotics, PLC controls, and vision systems, transforming innovation concepts into robust, production-ready equipment that meets performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. By owning automation design decisions, integration strategy, and technical risk mitigation, the role reduces development cycles, minimizes commissioning challenges, and ensures long-term scalability of innovation initiatives. Without this role, the site faces higher technical risk, slower deployment of automation, and reduced ability to deliver complex innovation projects critical to future competitiveness.
