About The Position

The Senior Demand Analyst is responsible for forecasting activities for assigned customers and customer channels. This role develops and maintains customer demand forecasts by leveraging business insights from Sales, Marketing, Finance, retailer partners, and other key stakeholders. The Senior Demand Analyst serves as the primary demand planning contact for assigned customers, ensuring alignment between customer demand and BISSELL's operational planning processes. This position supports the Demand Planning Manager in achieving forecast performance objectives and serves as a mentor and resource to Demand Analysts by sharing best practices, providing guidance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of Supply Chain experience.
  • 2+ years in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Sales Operations, Procurement, Logistics, or similar analytical planning disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex customer forecasts and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Cross functional influencing skills

  • Ability to analyze forecasting data

Nice To Haves

  • Retail forecasting experience.
  • APICS, ASCM, or IBF certification.
  • Experience utilizing advanced forecasting methodologies and statistical models.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain consensus demand forecasts for assigned customers and distribution centers.
  • Analyze historical shipments, POS trends, promotional plans, pricing changes, and customer inventory levels to develop demand forecasts.
  • Monitor statistical forecast outputs and make adjustments based on business insights and market trends.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply teams to gather information and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Support new product forecast development through analysis of launch plans and comparable product performance.
  • Participate in monthly S&OP activities and provide input on forecast changes, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor forecast performance metrics, including Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Bias, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with annual planning activities and financial forecast updates.
  • Maintain forecasting data, reporting, and planning tools.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the demand planning process.
  • Lead demand planning activities for larger and more complex customer accounts.
  • Mentor Demand Analysts and provide guidance on forecasting methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Drive process improvements that enhance forecast accuracy, reporting, and planning efficiency.
  • Identify systemic forecast issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
