About The Position

We have a long-term job opening for a Sr. Databricks Architect. This is a remote, 12-month contract position. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert with very senior-level experience and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall experience in data engineering or related fields.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Strong proficiency in PySpark SQL and performance tuning.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development and orchestration.
• Expertise in Delta Lake data modeling and optimization.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Python or Scala for data engineering tasks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must be a subject matter expert with very senior-level experience.
• Must be very good with communication.

• Data Extraction experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data solutions using Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Utilize PySpark SQL for data manipulation and performance tuning.
• Design and optimize Delta Lake data models.
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate technical solutions effectively.
