About The Position

As Sr. Database Engineer I (Security Focus), you’ll design, deploy, and sustain secure database environments that support enterprise security platforms, analytics, and SIEM capabilities in classified, mission‐critical systems. This role partners with cybersecurity, SIEM, and infrastructure teams to support enclave‐based data migrations, optimize high‐volume log and telemetry pipelines, and ensure resilient backup and recovery. The ideal candidate has strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, performance tuning for large‐scale security data, and implementing encryption and access controls in TS/SCI environments under federal compliance requirements. Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • 5+ years of experience as a database engineer
  • Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)
  • Experience supporting large-scale data environments (log aggregation, telemetry, event data)
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization
  • Experience implementing encryption at rest and in transit
  • Understanding of data retention policies and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with Linux-based database environments

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain databases supporting security platforms and analytics systems
  • Optimize database performance for high-volume log ingestion and querying
  • Support migration of security data from shared systems into enclave-specific databases
  • Implement backup, recovery, and data integrity processes in classified environments
  • Enforce database security controls, including encryption and access management
  • Collaborate with SIEM teams to ensure proper data ingestion, normalization, and retention
