About The Position
The Sr. Database Administrator will administer SQL Server databases and work with cloud database platforms, including Azure SQL, AWS RDS, and Snowflake. The role includes database performance tuning and monitoring, backup and recovery, replication, high availability and disaster recovery solutions, and cloud migration and database modernization initiatives. This is a remote position, with working hours of 7:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time; candidates preferably are in Seattle.
Requirements
- Strong experience in SQL Server database administration.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud database platforms such as Azure SQL, AWS RDS, and Snowflake.
- Experience with database performance tuning, monitoring, backup and recovery, replication, and high availability/disaster recovery solutions.
- Proven experience in cloud migration and database modernization initiatives.
- Strong scripting and automation skills; PowerShell, Python, or Bash preferred.
Nice To Haves
- PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting experience.
- Being located in or near Seattle is preferred.
