About The Position

Visa USA Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Data Scientist (multiple openings) in Washington, DC to: Responsible for design, development and delivery of personalization models and signals to fuel AI products and services on a global scale. Execute data science capabilities in the personalization space. Design and develop large-scale data science systems. Foster innovation and experimentation within the team. Apply advanced data science techniques to drive business impact. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Develop and maintain expertise in multiple programming languages and data science tools. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data science capabilities. Communicate complex technical concepts and results to stakeholders. Influence business decisions with data-driven insights. Up to 10% domestic travel required. Position reports to the employer’s Washington, DC office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Data Scientist-related occupation.
Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Data Scientist-related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
Deep Learning.
Machine Learning.
Recommendation Systems.
Generative Models.
Statistical analyses.
Python and Spark.
Scikit-learn and experience with a deep learning library (Tensorflow, PyTorch).
Working with real-world data sets and building scalable models from large-scale data.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate data science capabilities and communicate complex technical concepts/results to stakeholders.
