The primary mission of the Senior Data Scientist role is to help Lennar evolve into an insights-driven organization. This position is part of the Digital Experience organization, which aims to drive improved business outcomes using data and analytics. The Senior Data Scientist will design and deploy AI agents and intelligent systems to help users solve real problems, requiring experience in building agentic AI solutions, including reasoning systems, tools, and workflows that operate reliably in production environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years delivering business insights through data science; 4+ years writing SQL.
  • 1+ years building and deploying AI/LLM solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and shipping AI agents.
  • Proficiency with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI) and LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI).
  • Hands-on experience building RAG pipelines and integrating vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector).
  • Deep understanding of ML/NLP models, statistics, and machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras).
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals: code modularity, version control (Git), testing, and documentation.
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), including databases, infrastructure, and automation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to divisions within the Lennar family.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and professionally with co-workers across the organization.
  • Openness to cross-training for other positions within the team, as required by leadership.
  • Commitment to complying with and implementing company policies and procedures.

  • Strong work ethic and a collaborative, team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with product owners to identify data science and AI opportunities across the organization.
  • Design, build, and deploy AI agents that help users solve real world problems through a conversational interfaces.
  • Architect agentic workflows, including tools and RAG pipelines.
  • Collaborate with the customer experience vertical to deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through measurement, monitoring, and iterative experimentation on agent performance and reliability.
  • Build and operationalize predictive and prescriptive models for internal stakeholders using structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed agents and models into human-in-the-loop applications.
  • Mentor junior data scientists to support their professional growth.
