About The Position

This job is responsible for the execution of data architectural solutions for complex initiatives that span multiple Lines of Business and control functions. Key responsibilities include facilitating solution driven discussions, working with stakeholders to support adherence to the enterprise data management policy and standards, and supporting architecture design reviews to ensure integration of data architecture principles in technology solutions. Job expectations include educating data management teams on enterprise data architectural principles and data management processes and routines. The Senior Data Architect plays a critical leadership role within Global Technology, partnering across architecture, data management, governance, product, and engineering organizations to shape how enterprise data is defined, governed, and consumed. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic technology initiatives, drive architecture decisions that span multiple technology domains, and help establish the information and data foundations that support analytics, regulatory reporting, operational intelligence, and AI-enabled capabilities. As a senior architecture leader, you will work closely with Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Information Services Architecture teams, providing guidance on complex data challenges, architecture strategy, information design, and cross-domain integration. You will help define reusable architecture patterns, influence governance decisions, and steward key information assets including the Global Technology Unified Data Model and Data Family architecture. This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys solving complex enterprise-scale data challenges, influencing strategic direction, and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive meaningful business and technology outcomes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, information architecture, data management, data modeling, or related technology disciplines.
  • Experience defining and implementing data and information architecture strategies, standards, and patterns within large, complex organizations.
  • Experience partnering with business, technology, governance, and architecture stakeholders to drive architecture decisions and resolve cross-functional data challenges.
  • Experience developing conceptual and logical data models, information architectures, or enterprise data strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data sourcing, and information management principles.

Nice To Haves

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise data and information architecture.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics, reporting, data management, metadata, or AI-enabled initiatives.
  • Experience leading architecture reviews, governance forums, or architecture advisory functions.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with various technology teams to establish data solutions and architecture for large, complex initiatives that align with the enterprise data architecture strategy and strategic technology and platform decisions
  • Develops clear and concise responses to questions from senior management and control partners regarding the enterprise data architecture strategy
  • Manages multiple priorities in a matrixed environment with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Communicates effectively to influence agreement between partners and escalates items, as needed, to ensure execution activities remain on track
  • Ensures all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies and standards are met
  • Manages relationships with business and technology partners and creates an inclusive and healthy working environment to resolve organizational impediments and blockers
  • Educates data management teams on enterprise data architectural principles, processes, and routines
  • Enable trusted analytics, regulatory reporting, operational intelligence, and AI capabilities through effective data and information architecture.
  • Serve as the senior data architecture advisor for Global Technology, providing strategic guidance on data, information, and architecture initiatives.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Information Services Architecture to align solutions with enterprise standards and target-state strategies.
  • Lead architecture reviews and provide guidance on data sourcing, integration, information design, and data management practices.
  • Support governance forums, data architecture inquiries, and strategic initiatives through architecture leadership and decision support.
  • Define and evolve enterprise information architectures, including the Global Technology Unified Data Model and Data Family architecture.
  • Establish reusable architecture patterns, standards, and best practices to improve consistency, interoperability, and reuse.
  • Drive alignment of business terminology, semantic definitions, ownership models, and authoritative data sources across technology domains.
  • Enhance metadata quality, data lineage, transparency, and discoverability in partnership with governance and data management teams.
  • Assess architectural risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to support informed decision-making and successful delivery outcomes.
