About The Position

This role operates at the enterprise level, producing cross‑sector analytics and establishing shared analytical data models in partnership with IS and Data Engineering. The Senior Data Analyst enables consistent, trusted decision‑making across the organization by ensuring enterprise analytics are well‑defined, governed, and reusable across business sectors.   In addition to hands‑on analytical delivery, this role coaches and supervises Data Analysts and works closely with the Manager, Data Governance to align analytics with enterprise data standards, governance practices, and accountability for data ownership and definitions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex queries and analytical data modeling.
  • Experience with modern BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of KPI design, metric standardization, and analytical best practices.
  • Proven ability to communicate insights clearly and influence decisions.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with business, analytics, and technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python or R for analytical workflows.
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Experience operating in an enterprise or multi‑sector environment.
  • Familiarity with data governance concepts, operating models, or data ownership frameworks.
  • Prior experience mentoring or supervising analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Produce enterprise analytics (dashboards and descriptive and predictive) that span multiple business sectors to support executive, operational, and cross‑functional decision‑making.
  • Identify cross‑sector trends, risks, and opportunities that are not visible within siloed reporting.
  • Translate complex, ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and clear recommendations.
  • Partner with IS / Data Engineering to define, design, and maintain shared analytical data models that serve as trusted sources of truth.
  • Enable sector‑level analytics teams by providing governed, well‑documented data models and metric definitions.
  • Reduce duplication, manual reconciliation, and inconsistent interpretations of enterprise metrics.
  • Act as a senior analytics partner to leaders across business sectors, Finance, Operations, and Corporate functions.
  • Present insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Influence priorities and decisions by grounding discussions in trusted data and evidence.
  • Work closely with the Manager, Data Governance to ensure analytics align with enterprise data standards, policies, and governance objectives.
  • Support the implementation of consistent KPI definitions, data ownership, and accountability across reporting assets.
  • Contribute to governance processes related to metric definitions, data quality, and change management.
  • Design and maintain high‑impact dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent.
  • Ensure reporting is aligned to approved business definitions and supports both enterprise and sector-level needs.
  • Promote scalable, self‑service analytics while maintaining enterprise consistency.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide day‑to‑day guidance to Data Analysts.
  • Review analytical work to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Support skill development in SQL, data modeling, documentation, and data storytelling.
  • Conduct deeper analytical work including trend analysis, cohort analysis, forecasting, and performance measurement.
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to support decision‑making, not just descriptive reporting.
