Sr Data Analyst
About The Position
This role is a remote position within the continental US, with occasional requests to come to the office based on business need. The Sr Data Analyst will perform organizational research, develop tactical reporting and analysis frameworks, and create mathematical modeling tools. They will lead special projects, ensure performance measures are defined and implemented, and stay updated on the latest software for efficient analysis. The role involves partnering with peers to develop analytics tools, conducting in-depth data analysis, and mentoring other analysts. Additionally, the Sr Data Analyst will assist with strategic efforts and business planning.
Requirements
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to mentor and train other analysts and business partners on analytical methods, tools, reports, and data.
- Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with all levels of management; ability to maintain professionalism.
- Knowledge of the operations of the business and the insurance industry.
- Ability to successfully work independently or with a team.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Computer Science or a related field.
- 2+ years of job-related experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
Nice To Haves
- SQL, Python, DataViz are a plus but not required.
- Successful analytical work supporting business requirement which may include work with predictive analytics.
- Operations experience.
Responsibilities
- Performs organizational research by gathering, interpreting and comparing operational data to benchmarking/best practice data, identifies significant business issues, trends and opportunities and provides insights/recommendations to the organization.
- Develops tactical reporting and analysis frameworks, considering performance of at least three business areas.
- Develops and updates mathematical modeling tools for internal business areas.
- Leads special projects requiring commensurate analytical expertise and the development of executive level presentations.
- Ensures appropriate measures and reports are defined and implemented to assess organizational performance and/or initiative performance.
- Remains abreast of the latest software to build reports and conduct analysis most efficiently.
- Partners with peer group to lead the architecture, development, and deployment of analytics tools that enable efficiency and scale in discovering actionable insights.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to Client program performance, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.
- Mentors and supports the development and training of analysts across US Analytics and other internal business areas
- Assists with strategic efforts/business planning by gathering metrics, performing analysis, and creating deliverable tracking.
- Performs other related duties as required.
