About The Position

The Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst will design, implement, and operate scalable application and cloud security automation across FreeWheel’s software development lifecycle. The role helps protect corporate information systems by identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, auditing and analyzing systems, implementing security measures, and collaborating with teams to strengthen data systems. It requires independent problem-solving and strategic planning in information security. The analyst will automate and maintain code-scanning architecture, including the integration of SAST, software composition analysis, secret detection, cloud security checks, and approved frontier-model capabilities with CI/CD pipelines and repository structures. The role aligns FreeWheel’s application and cloud security posture with Comcast security standards, service-level agreements, risk thresholds, compliance requirements, and risk-management frameworks. Security findings are integrated into security portals, compliance and vulnerability reporting, operational dashboards, and executive scorecards. The role also works with cross-functional teams and Information Security leadership to assess risks, recommend mitigations, develop incident response protocols, investigate and resolve breaches, and design controls based on NIST and other frameworks. It includes evaluating security hardware and software changes, implementing approved security plans, leading awareness and training initiatives, and auditing systems for visibility into information security precautions. The position requires regular, consistent, punctual attendance and the ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary. Other duties may be assigned.
