About The Position

Customer Marketing (CM) team members play a direct role in driving incremental volume at our Priority Retailers through design and execution of customer-centric, omni-channel marketing and event programs in partnership with our Brands, Sales Teams, and Retailers. We are seeking a Customer Marketing Senior Planner to partner in leading our customer marketing strategy, search activation, and reporting within our Walmart Inc Customers – Walmart and Sam’s Club. Key responsibilities for this role include analyzing multiple data sources to bring strategic thinking and strategies for our GMI brands forward, developing an annual strategy for priority brands across all business units, and working in tandem with agency and retail media partners for execution and reporting. It requires interaction with the retailer merchants and retail media team, as well as internal Sales and business unit teams, SRM team, and agencies. A unique aspect of this role is leading the process development of linking direct customer data analytics with performance data to deliver results across multiple categories. The role provides exposure and learning in the areas of Commerce, Strategy, Planning, External Partner Management, and Matrix Relationship Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Marketing, Business, or other related fields
  • 3+ years in Shopper or Brand Marketing, Sales, or eCommerce
  • Recent experience in retailer search & ecommerce planning, and selling
  • Experience with project management within cross-functional teams and agency partners
  • Strong business acumen, linking analytics with performance data to drive optimization
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers/CPG clients (Walmart Inc.)
  • Ability to work independently and pick up new systems, data, tools, and rapidly apply them to deliver actionable insights.

  • Ability to leverage strong analytic skills, uncover and develop analytic results – from insights to decisions via compelling storytelling and data visualization

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and execution of General Mills retailer shopper marketing omnichannel campaigns with internal and external groups
  • Develop Customer Marketing plans and presentations, with particular emphasis on direct retailer customer data within the search and e-commerce space
  • Develop and foster relationships with retail media partners
  • Oversee briefs, timelines, media performance, etc., in support of campaigns
  • Lead and participate in key customer meetings
  • Foster strong working relationships with sales and marketing team members
  • Maintain account-level customer marketing search budget trackers
  • Conduct data/event analyses as needed
