About The Position

Pinterest is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, practical, and creative lawyer to join its small and nimble team. This role will primarily support core product and engineering teams, acting as a subject matter expert and influential advisor to senior business and legal leadership. The position requires driving strategy on cutting-edge legal issues in generative AI, privacy, IP, and safety. Requirements

JD with 8+ years of relevant work experience in a demanding and innovative legal environment.
At least 2 years in-house experience at a tech company preferred.
Experience counseling on issues related to artificial intelligence, IP/copyright, safety, and privacy.
Exceptional judgment and impeccable integrity with excellent communication skills.
Process-driven and results-oriented with proven ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues quickly and independently.
Strategic thinking with a track record of delivering creative and pragmatic solutions to novel issues.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to build sustainable programs and processes for scale and drive strategic, cross-functional initiatives to completion.
An AI-forward mindset, with experience using AI as a tool to accelerate analysis, simplify complex problems, and uncover more effective ways to support fast-moving product development.

Responsibilities

Partner with strategy, engineering, product management, communications, and legal teams to identify and manage legal issues and risks throughout product development.
Provide pragmatic and strategic advice to embedded teams as product areas evolve.
Advise teams on key emerging areas for core product, focusing on generative AI, content acquisition, IP/copyright, open source, and privacy issues.
Develop and drive implementation of practical measures to mitigate risk, increase speed and efficiency, and advance long-term goals.
Implement scalable legal processes, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and deliver high-quality guidance with speed and consistency.
