In this position, you’ll partner closely with project leadership to analyze cost and revenue performance, drive forecasting and change management, and ensure our teams have the accurate, timely financial information they need to make smart decisions. The Sr Cost Analyst position has an expectation of advanced experience in Accounting or Finance . The Sr Cost Analyst must be able to support large project teams and Project Controls Leadership by analyzing cost and revenue data, driving project change management and forecasting in order to provide timely & reliable financial information that is meaningful to project management, business units and the organization as a whole.

Requirements

  • Recommended 5-10 years’ experience in relevant field
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • In-depth understanding of construction process
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office: Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge in SAP and Textura, or comparable ERP software system for construction management
  • Capacity to analyze large and disparate amounts of data and efficiently come to a conclusion
  • Ability to analyze, identify and resolve business issues
  • Ability to work on-site at Charleston project locations

Responsibilities

  • Provides analytics of the financial status of large and/or high-risk construction projects to measure profitability, manage risk, and facilitate project planning strategy and decision making
  • Supports change management and monthly forecasting processes to understand and identify risk and opportunity
  • Aids with external customer requirements such as owner reporting, subcontractor challenges, and joint venture reporting
  • Has an understanding and awareness of accounts payable and receivable, and ability to balance project financials with accurate accruals and cash management
  • Manage and assist in adhoc project reporting
  • Assist Project Financial Controls Leadership with financial review
