The Processing, Guidance & Control (PG&C) Center, within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities Discipline, consists of Signal Processing (SP), Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) and Modeling and Simulation disciplines. PG&C delivers key technologies to our effector programs portfolio. The Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) teams provide aerodynamic and autopilot designs, optimized system motion designs, and state estimation to facilitate mission guidance goals. The Signal Processing (SP) teams extract and exploit signals from both active and passive sensors to be used for acquiring, detecting, tracking, and classifying objects of interest. The Modeling Simulation Analysis (MSA) teams are responsible for product-level simulations that help us design, develop, verify, and validate our products and capabilities. Our simulations model the components and subsystems that make up our designs, and the world our products interact with. The Signal Processing (SP) team within the PG&C Center is currently hiring for an administrative assistant (Sr. Coordinator, Admin) to provide high-level administrative support. As an administrative assistant, you will have a key role with a variety of responsibilities that fall within three main categories: Provide support to the Center leadership team, provide as-needed support for over 1,000 employees within the Center and interface with staff across other Centers within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities Discipline. This role will cover three department leaders and the members of three departments, numbering around 450 people. This individual must exhibit the utmost level of professionalism and use excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with the leadership team. The administrative assistant will maintain a high degree of confidentiality and will need to exhibit discretion when handling sensitive information. This position is onsite in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an Associate’s Degree (or other 2 year post high school training) and a minimum of 6 years of administrative experience supporting large employee populations, senior leaders, and/or multiple organizational groups
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite Tools, to include but not limited to: Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
  • Experience with calendar organization, meeting scheduling and coordination, event planning, and generation of travel and expense reports
  • The ability to obtain an active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of intricate administrative duties requiring professionalism, tact, diplomacy, discretion, and sound judgement. This includes managing calendars, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving abilities to adjust or prioritize schedules based on last-minutes changes.
  • Arrange for conference rooms, catering, audio/video, and other essential services for meetings and conferences.
  • Compile and/or assist in preparation of various documents, to include but not limited to meeting minutes, presentations, reports, correspondence, and other materials.
  • Attend meetings and other functions as requested.
  • Plan and coordinate on-boarding and off-boarding activities for employees using Raytheon tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Work with the PG&C administrative team on various projects, as well as, assisting with improving processes where necessary.
