The primary role of the Control Systems Engineer is to oversee installation and the maintenance of process measurement and control instrumentation for the refinery to support Operations and Maintenance with daily execution. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; focus in Electrical, Chemical or Computer Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years Process Control experience required
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong Microsoft Network knowledge and experience
  • Strong interpersonal & teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Safety Systems experience preferred
  • experience in a refinery or petrochemical facility preferred
  • Programming experience with DCS systems, ABB Infi90 and 800xa preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Process Control infrastructure for the refinery
  • Provide daily troubleshooting of Process Control issues for the refinery
  • PID Loop Tuning
  • Improve existing control schemes
  • Maintain Microsoft HMI network
  • Develop and maintain the Process Control GUI diagrams
  • Interface with operations, maintenance, and engineering to ensure system accurately represents field processes and equipment
  • Review and provide strategic development of new technologies for the refinery to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance
  • Manage external resources as needed
  • Interface with Process Control System vendor to ensure reliable system performance
  • Perform project engineering where required
  • Provide project management of Process Control projects
  • Provide project management of Process Control/SIS/Electrical projects
  • Develop Instrumentation specifications for new instruments
